Excellent workshop. Learned a lot as I’m new to Sharepoint.

  2. Panayotis says:

Great webinar, I learned a few tricks I shall apply to my client installations.

  3. Sandi Sommer says:

Thanks! Most was already known/used, but liked the data connection info.

  4. Sue Lawton says:

Thank you for the information. I would be interested to hear how to connect doc library to Outlook and work with info there. Also would like ot hear more about publishing and showing data as a web part. Thank you

  5. Patrik Hunter says:

Very good workshop! Great intro to many things that are kind of hidden using SharePoint and Excel. Loved the live Data Connection information!

  6. Susan Gore says:

Good session. Would have liked more on importing spreadsheets, e.g., changing imported column types to choice, etc. Data Connections was excellent – can’t wait to share it with my clients. Too much on the error handling.

  7. Wayne Sankarlal says:

Thought the workshop was great especially the spreadsheet manipulations and the web data connections. Session was very well paced, went a little too fast for me on Method of Post error but I was trying to figure out webex at the same time.

All in all well worth the price, I’ve got lots of ideas to try out :).

This was a great session. I learned new features I can start using with Excel right now without worrying about upgrading to enterprise edition. As always, Laura and Mark did a great job demonstrating these features.

  9. Brigitte says:

Enjoyed the seminar, can not wait to use the tricks and features … but watch out if you are using the new IE 8. While using a list, In the Data Sheet mode, the hidden side pane on the right hand side does not open.

  10. Mick Brown says:

Great session. I work a lot with excel and SharePoint and looking for some new insights – I picked up 2 or 3 today that were “well worth the price of admission”. As usual the presentation was first class. Laura has some really useful ideas and Mark played his role as “the sample user” very well!

  11. Heidi Clark says:

I learned a lot and am looking forward to the Word class

  12. Marla Nicol says:

Very good webinar. Very helpful. I am looking forward to studying the taped copy. Thank you.

  13. Excelent workshop as usual. I always seem to pick-up a lot of new techniques and methods. This wasno exception. The Pivot Table info on wss was on target, and the caltulated fields were outstanding. Keep up the good work. See you in the Word class.

  14. George W says:

I always always learn something new at these workshops, and the examples are carefully designed and explained. It’s great to actually see Sharepoint done right– and you can use the solutions right away.

  15. Lisa Martinson says:

Very good workshop. Great tip on pasting formulas from Excel into calculated column formulas and replacing the cell names with SP field names – I will use this a lot (sadly, I admit I have been building my formulas the tedious way up until now). I’m looking forward to experimenting with html in calculated columns. This is the second seminar I’ve taken from you– I appreciate the ability to view the seminar again later to fill in the gaps and also appreciate the sandbox to try things out.

  16. Lynnda says:

Mark & Laura, Thank you so much for a very helpful webcast. I love the nested calculated fields demo – I have also use the pivot tables with much success. I look forward to future webcasts…
