We are trying out SharePoint through Rackspace can we use color coding with their Windows Sharepoint Services 3.0.?
We would like to use something similar to the Label field in Outlook
Thank you
James,
I did the screencast using WSS 3.0, so I would assume that would be an option for you through Rackspace.
Blessings,
Jim Bob
I’ve done everything above step by step and the color coding works. The only problem I’m having is the text is not centered. If I enter vacation for three days it’s color coded but the text is left justified over the three days. How can I fix this?
Thanks,
Joel
Joel,
You may need to add ALIGN=”CENTER” to your DIV tag on the your calculated Display field.
Let me know if that doesn’t work and we’ll jump over to Stump the Panel so you can share the code with me that you’re getting.
Blessings,
Jim Bob
Jim Bob,
That’s what I thought but I don’t know how to add it. Here is the display code that I’m using.
=” “&Title&”"
Can you tell me where to add it?
Thanks,
Joel
=” “&Title&”"
Jim Bob,
I tried to paste my code in but it didn’t work. How can I get it to you?
Thanks,
Joel
Take it over to Stump the Panel. http://www.endusersharepoint.com/STP
We can post code there, by wrapping it in
. Then, come back here an post the link to the discussion.
Blessings,
Jim Bob
Sigh…
open a bracket: [
put “code” next, then close the bracket.
:)
Jim Bob,
Let’s try this
[=" "&Title&""]
Joel
Jim Bob,
Can I email the code to you?
Joel
Paste it as a comment here: http://www.endusersharepoint.com/STP/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=2369
Joel, there’s a formula generator on this page:
http://sp2010.pathtosharepoint.com/SharePoint-User-Toolkit/Pages/Color-Coding-Calendar-List.aspx
It includes the option to have the text centered.
Jim Bob,
I found what I needed on the formula generator page. It works great now man and thanks for all your help.
Joel
Awesome, Joel! Glad to hear it.
Thanks, Christophe!
Jim Bob,
I have one problem maybe you can help me with. Partial days such as 2 to 6 will not color code. Is there something I can change in the code from Christophe that is in my content editor webpart?
Thanks,
Joel
