Feedback: Live online workshop – Setup Your jQuery Environment

Paul Grenier has completed the second live online workshop in the jQuery for Everyone Series: Setup Your jQuery Environment, Step-By-Step.

In this session, Paul started with a half hour demo of a robust environment for working with jQuery in SharePoint. From there, he walked the participants through the entire process of setting up a script library, pointing to that library from a CEWP and using predone jQuery scripts to test the environment.

He also provided a plugin for dynamically loading jQuery scripts at runtime.

Let’s see what the participants have to say.

This was an excellent session. Paul and Mark work so well together in making sure the participants stay on track with the Hands-on portion and explain each step.

Great Workshop! This is an indispensable series for individuals in a WSS environment. I said it before and I’ll say it again… I spent a lot of money on books, but this is the best ROI on education dollars!!

    Simply brilliant!
The approach presented to make the jQuery library and jQuery scripts available throughout the entire site makes solutions maintenance a loooot simpler.
Very valuable insight on default masters, I loved the trick of opening two browser windows to upload edited pages… it is another signal of wisdom from you, Paul! I hope not to forget using it when the time comes!
Thanks a lot for sharing this excellent material with us.

Great workshop guys, as people have previously mentioned there is probably no more cost effective method of getting SharePoint knowledge to stick than an EUSP workshop!

Looking forward to the next part

Excellent workshop. Having the link to replay the workshop has been a great tool for me to review and create a checklist so the workshop skills will not be forgotten. I have taken several classes and come away each time with great tools for our employee web sites. Thank you very much!
