Live blog/tweets/videos from Best Practices available as archive

The streaming media page from Best Practices Conference received tons of compliments from people attending the event. We had seven people live blogging from sessions, adding pictures to the stream and helping manage the media table.

The content from the streams are archived so that you can review the sessions and the notes taken in each. If you followed the live stream, I’d appreciate comments to the authors who participated so that they know what they provided is of value to people who couldn’t attend the event.

To make it easy for you to access the archives, I’m listing them below. The day three twitter stream is still live to give you an idea of how content can be added to the stream in real time. That will be turned off at the end of the day today, August 27. I’m also including a short video to show how to use the streaming media pages.

  1. Best Practices Conference 2009 – Day 01
  2. Best Practices Conference 2009 – Day 02
  3. Best Practices Conference 2009 – Day 03

Thank you to the live bloggers for taking time out of their own schedules to participant in the live stream.

Our partners in crime, Bamboo Nation, were a pleasure to work with. John Anderson and Chris Dooley manned the booth and provided a huge plasma screen display so that people in the halls could follow all the sessions at once. Tremendous job, guys.

Thank you to all who followed the event online. It helped validate that what we are trying to do by presenting a virtual presence at a live conference is desired and is worth doing.

    Mark,
It is totally desired and well worth it!
Especially having some archives created after the live cessions.
    Thanks a lot,
    Greg

    Mark,
The LiveStream for day 3 includes multiple interviews as well as a LiveStream recording of a 2h presentation (the 3rd video window – just below the Interview with Rick Taylor).
I followed about an hour yesterday, had to drop in the middle of it and now would like to see the rest of it.
Could the recording be saved as a video you can forward/ rewind?
    Thanks a lot,
    Greg

I definitely enjoyed following everyone. I just wish the ustream and other media wasn’t blocked by my organization. It was helpful information and I appreciate all of the effort.
