Best Practices in SharePoint User Management

SharePoint for Project ManagementDux Raymond Sy, author of SharePoint for Project Management, is giving a free webcast next week on “Best Practices in SharePoint User Management“. Dux was supposed to present with us at SPTechCon last month, but got caught in that huge snowstorm on the East Coast.

If you haven’t heard Dux “perform” before, you’re in for a treat. Here’s his description of this live online talk:

Please join me on March 9th from 2-3pm in a free webcast, via Microsoft LiveMeeting, entitled ‘Best Practices in SharePoint User Management.’ There is no charge to attend, and all are welcome!

SharePoint’s empowering capability to create collaborative sites allows site owners to define membership and user permissions easily. However, it can be a double-edged sword, especially if these permissions aren’t well-managed.

In this presentation, you will learn the fundamentals of SharePoint membership and permissions; effective techniques in identifying user communication and information needs; how to map a communications plan to SharePoint site membership; and best practices in managing SharePoint user permissions.

So stick you head in and see what he’s got to say. If you like it, join us when we sponsor Dux in his EUSP Live Online Series debut, Delivering SharePoint Success – A Mentoring Workshop, starting on April 27.

Hi, Would like to attend the March 9th presentation… but the link sends me to http://10.40.41.103:15871/cgi-bin/blockpage.cgi?ws-session=2232205139 which looks like a blocked page.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks, Andy
