EUSP eBook Store: First SharePoint Title is Now Available
Thank you to everyone for all the encouragement following last week’s newsletter, An Uncertain Future. I can’t tell you the number of people who emailed, commented on the site or tracked me down at SharePoint Saturday DC to tell me how important the site is to them.
I am moving forward with the first step of restructuring EUSP by opening the EUSP eBook Store! Read on to see how EUSP Newsletter Subscribers receive 50% discounts on our eBooks.
Marc Anderson has agreed to be our first ‘guinea pig’ in this little venture. His series, Unlocking the Mysteries of Data View Web Part XSL Tags, on EndUserSharePoint.com has been very popular.
Because there are twenty articles in the series, it just makes sense to batch them up, making it easier to follow the entire sequence in an eBook.
The 20 part series is an in-depth look at how to manage the display of content within a Data View Web Part (DVWP) through the manipulation of XSLT. Each article covers a specific tag and the context on how it is used within the DVWP. Not only is this information helpful in this context, it also lays the groundwork for future explorations of the use of XSL when transforming ANY XML!
Unlocking the Mysteries of Data View Web Part XSL Tags is an entry level eBook that assumes no experience with XSL.
The normal price for the EUSP eBooks is $19.95, but for those on the EUSP Weekly Newsletter, they are $9.95.

Acknowledgements
Over the next few months we will be rolling out an eBook a week as we build up the library. A very special thanks goes to Marcy Keller for the cover design of the EUSP eBook Series, and to Christina Wheeler for taking all the mangling I requested and put it into eBook format with links.
The authors and I appreciate your support in this project and hope you find it as useful a resource as we believe it is.
Sincerely,
Mark Miller

AWESOME! Off to purchase right now!
How is the book different than the posts?
Shawn,
The book is an aggregation of all the posts, making it easy to access. The content is the same.

Shawn (et al):
The basic content is the same, though I did rewrite it to work as an eBook, reorganized it a bit, and reformatted all of the code examples, etc. In other words, there’s some value add there.
M.
Thanks for this. BTW I saw this site that had a list of available SharePoint books with reviews. http://sharepointbooks.web.officelive.com . It was good for me to make a decision in order to buy a SharePoint book. Prehaps you should ask them to include this one as well.
